York parts wanted

Post by Tim Jackson »

I am refurbishing a York upright tuba and need the following parts:

strap ring

lyre holder

...and, I would like one of those small patent tags that york puts down on the tuning slide sleeve. Usually "1912 patent" or something like that.

I guess I'm returning things back to as original as possible on this horn. Just pm so I can work it out.

Thanks,
Tim Jackson

Oh goodness. I was supposed to send you a strap ring.

I’ve got one, even know where it is. I might even have the little patent “thing”. If you PM me your address, I’ll try to mail them Saturday. I’ve got a couple king braces to go out as well.

I’m sorry.

Maybe a lyre holder as well.

Are we aiming for brass or silver plate?

I have a 1904 York and am not familiar with the "patent tag," but maybe I'm looking in the wrong place.

The patent was 1910 I think.

Uh oh - hope nobody copies my 1904 York's design!

Ok, sorry to derail the thread.

I hear they are going to clone it in the JimBao factory. They cited the lack of patent as the main reason...
