I wonder if it was overhauled, or if it's a time capsule? Either way it's beautiful. If it was overhauled, at least the original metal was super thick to begin with.

Years ago when Kanstul was making reproduction bells, I actually considered buying one of each and squirreling them away for "later." And at the time, I actually had the money to do so. But, I also had an imminent engagement/marriage on the horizon, and was preparing to move to a small apartment in New York City, and had no room for anything. Either way, I don't think I would have bought silver.

Anyway, it's gorgeous, and I hope somebody buys it and plays it for the next 50 years. It deserves to be heard

Talk about the ultimate band tuba!
