When we still had a brick and mortar store, I had a guy walk in with a really fancy euphonium. It might have been a "Prestige" - if that's actually a thing. I think he caught wind of me suspecting that it was stolen and he packed it up really quickly, walked out the door quickly, and made sure that he backed out of the parking lot in his super-fancy car, so I couldn't get his license plate number.

I'm convinced that if we still had our brick-and-mortar store today, we would have been broken into multiple times and there's a fairly good chance that one or both of us would be dead.

I'm probably just as guilty of enhancing old memories as anyone, but I'm sort of halfway thinking that I might remember that the model of instrument that was brought into our store was one that had just been locally reported stolen.

The person who brought it in was very well-dressed, and their car was very fancy. That is also an odd factor as far as fencing stolen property is concerned.
