Looking for concert band music.

Hi everyone!
I'm in a bit of a pickle. Our community band had an auction of sorts and this was to patronize our patrons by playing a song of their choosing. The catch was that they had to buy the music and it had to be arranged for concert band.The two songs we are having difficulty in searching for are Footloose and Top Gun. I can't find these arranged for concert band. Have any of you guys or gals got any solutions? Thanks!

By "Top Gun," are you talking about "Danger Zone" from the movie Top Gun? There is an arrangement by Michael Story:

The marching band arrangement for Footloose is close, but I'm not sure if a cigar will be awarded or not.
And as for Top Gun, I've seen the Danger Zone listed, but I'm not really sure if that's what we're looking for either. I think the general consensus may be leaning towards the Top Gun: Maverick arrangement, but that seems to be a jazz band arrangement which will not suit our needs.

OK, here's what I've found out so far. The Top Gun arrangement I'm hunting for was arranged by Robert W. Smith and is permanently out of print. I was however able to download a free PDF of the score. so it looks like I'll be writing out parts.
As for Footloose, the marching band arrangement ain't gonna cut it for concert band. The search continues.

The Chatfield Library shows to have Top Gun, but it also shows no way to get it out. No results for Footloose there.
And BandMusicPDF shows no results for either piece.

Chatfield is a lending library and I believe there is a nominal fee to use their resources. Look around their site for how to join. I've not used it, but the bandmaster of a former band of mine used it extensively.
There might be another possibility: let me look into it and get back to you.

My high school band played a Top Gun medley when I was in 8th grade (we were a K-12 building and the high school band needed the 8th graders to have enough kids) back in 1995. They might still have it, but I don't know if they would sell it

Thanks! But I was able to find a score of the Robert W. Smith arrangement on-line and in reviewing the score I can easily tell that this is a bit much for an 8th grade band to attempt to play. Not that I would dare say anything bad about an 8th grade band, but the arrangement we need is going to be a bit more complex.

I have been known to take a copy of the score, cut between all the staves, tape each part onto however many pieces of paper are required, and xerox it. Whether that is more or less work than writing out parts, you can decide.

While I'm working on typing out the parts with my notation program (NoteWorthy Composer), our director says he will attempt to scan the score to Top Gun to his Sibelius program and attempt to secure parts through that. I don't know if he will be able to or not and the gentleman I asked at our local music store has a few contacts, but they were off during the holidays. I should hear something from him within the next few days. If neither of these men are successful, I've at least got a leg up on the situation. I can't even find anything resembling a score for Footloose.
