Hi there
any good Eb tubas around for sale?
No Besson Sovereign or other compensated ones.
A "Franken" is cool too. Necessary are 5 valves and a good tuning. I prefer Frontaction.
Thanks

I put an E-extension (tubing scraps) on my F tuba...
It didn't mess it up, intonation-wise.
I didn't have enough junk laying around to make it play in E-flat.
I believe - based on what you believe that you need/want - that you should probably be looking at Miraphone products.

For my money, these are the Holy Grail of Eb tubas.

My holy grail is the Norwegian star or the Willson 3400s. It all comes down to if you like pistons or rotors.
I know of another manufacturer developing an Eb that might blow both of those out of the water... But I don't want to spill the beans on that one

The last Eb I played (it's not mine, but I played it for 6 months) was a PT-22. It was the best Eb I have ever played.

I'll know which to chose if i ever find myself in the end of an Indiana Jones movie...
