I think it might be possible that the person running that is the spouse of a former high school friend, and attempted to recruit me a couple of times to go work there, but the wages offered made absolutely no sense to me - knowing the cost of living there, and actually having been to the home of that person, which was - at that time - quite a distance away from that shop and modest as well. They are about my age, so they will may have retired from that job. I haven't kept track.

A short film is a film with a low running time. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences defines a short film as "an original motion picture that has a running time of 40 minutes or less, including all credits".

Not sure why you’re taking the time to complain.

I think anyone who is interested in working in instrument repair (or has) may enjoy seeing it.

I've noticed (social-media-wise) that - if a sentence is longer that five words, most won't read it, only about 1% will read a paragraph (and probably those 1% are from one's ACTUAL friends - people who REALLY know you), that 80% of people will only notice a single word in one-sentence posts, and that quite a few words (due to general ignorance and ignorance-based-or-intentional misinterpretation) should be completely avoided.

I typed up a whole little rant here about time, but deleted it... But basically, my time is not my own. 40 minutes to watch a show is an eternity, isn't going to happen. (or will be spread out over a week). Also kinda just reminds me why I can't/won't/don't play the tuba anymore, there just is no time for it. But anyway, at least this little emoji guy is having a good go at it.

(As long as I've known you, you've chosen geographic locations whereby some of the most confiscatory rulership has established itself.)

The more money I struggle (and pay for those financial gains physically) to make, the higher percentage that is confiscated by our tyrant rulers.
A while back, I decided - as little as I could manage - to stop feeding the beast.

Debts for cars and house?
A long time ago, I realized that those are things to either avoid or of which one should problem rid themselves as quickly as possible.
"I need reliable transportation" as an excuse to purchase brand-new cars: bullsh!t
sick parents - helpless infants - errant children...We've either been through that already, or we'll face those things eventually.
I've been through those things, and still deal with some of them.

40 minute videos...?? not too many, but I don't bother informing others whether I watched them.
facebook reels...?? When trying to get my brain quiet, I scroll past idiot ones, and watch a few (short) informative ones (distinguishing the silly-only-seem-to-be-informative ones from those which are actually useful knowledge), turn the light off, and drift off to sleep.
"news"? (is bullsh!t - avoid)
triggered online/social-media strangers: To me, they're little more than cartoon characters.

future musical instrument repairs?
Buy third world, tear 'em up, toss 'em in the trash, buy replacements...likely: mostly plastic, unless petroleum is outlawed worldwide.

Sure, 2 or 3 minutes at a time. Not enough to be productive elsewhere, so...

Biggest problem is that it takes way more than 40 hours to do 40 hours of work. On an average 7-day week, I think it probably takes 120+ hours to tally up 40 hours of work.

You've read some of my posts, I used to do about 120 hours for a few months at a time each year, and then drop back around 80 to 90 or maybe a hundred for the rest of the year.

Thoses 120-hour-a-week weeks were pretty tough - averaging only about 45 or so hours of sleep, and taking care of no household issues or anything like that for weeks and months at a time.

Coffee wasn't enough. I had to do caffeine pills.

It was difficult to not chew someone's one's head off with only that little amount of sleep, and even things like people calling me for gigs were seen as annoyances, because mostly they would just cut into sleep hours. When some difficult customer would come into the store, I would just have to tell them that I didn't want them as a customer and they needed to leave, because - with that little sleep - I just couldn't tolerate anyone's stupid sh!t. I remember a bass trombonist waking me up about ten seconds before I had to play that section in B-flat major with male choristers during the Brahms Requiem, one time... yes, it was the performance.
