FS: Kalison DS 4/4 CC tuba SOLD

Post by Pauvog1 »

Hi everyone,

We got this CC tuba from Joe Sellmansberger in 2010 while I was in undergrad. It has served me extremely well for a number of years in many venues (everything from large community band to Easter Quintet gigs). I used it for the back end of undergrad, grad school auditions, Chamber gigs, large community band, and etc. It has been my daily driver for a while.

It is silver plated with a little bit of wear, which can be seen in the photos. It has pretty manageable intonation, mostly some 1st valve slide movement and a couple 3rd valve substitutions for 1+2. It has a decent low register, it's not a Thor, but is more open (particularly in the low range) than many of the 186/188 horns I've tried.

It comes with both a newer gig bag and a hard "Kalison" case. Currently located in Savannah, GA

Asking $4500 plus shipping (if needed). Shipping is at buyers risk, I have lots of shipping materials, peanuts, and etc.

I'm not interested in sending it out for trials, you are welcome to come play test it, though.

Feel free to ask any questions, email is the best bet.

Thank you! I have been pretty meticulous about keeping the inside clean and well oiled.
