I'm not sure what that means, but if you describe it to me, I'll do my best to find out! Is this about the venting I see people doing on their horns?
bisontuba wrote: Wed Nov 15, 2023 12:42 pm Is that a long patch on the lead pipe? Hard to tell from the pic...
It is a patch.

I'm sure it will fit in one! I never had a proper bag fitting bag for it, and the one I had I gave away to a college student years ago. All kidding aside, no, I don't have a gig bag for it.

Compression....when you pull the slides and press a rotor for the corresponding slide, is there a pop? Just seeing if rotors are still tight or worn...

Also....is the receiver for American or Euro shank mthpce?
Tnx.

LOL...
I suspect I know how those dents happened with a previous owner: They hit that loop of tubing on things. I suspect that you could have managed to dent it with that guard wire on there yourself, were you determined to do so. I'm thinking that you've decided to not do that :teeth:

If I still have it when the Tuba and Euphonium conference comes around, I'll bring it along in case anyone wants to take a look.

Are those heavy valve caps.

Hi, what's happening? I talked to several people interested in the 601 ( me too) at the Army tuba conference, and folks haven't heard from. Are you ok? Did you sell it? Please let everyone know on tuba forum. Thanks, Brent

I am pretty certain this horn was sold at the conference. I know the owner doesn't get on here often. I will tell him log on and update everyone that has asked tomorrow at rehearsal.

Update from the owner: This horn was sold.
