Scam Alert

Post by tylerferris1213 »

Be on the lookout for emails from daysblessing1@gmail.com. They emailed me about several items I have in the "Want to Buy" section here. The items were clearly photoshopped and they consistently did not send specific pictures I asked for. They also asked for my address very early on in the conversation.

Yep, same here. It's so blatantly obvious sometimes, absolutely maddening.

I had a WTB post a few months ago that was like "WTB: junky old Conn 20J," and someone responded with that exact verbiage: "hey i have junky old Conn 20J available for good price." It can't be more blatantly obvious. Stay vigilant and always insist on using a secured method of payment if you don't know the seller.

Were they a member? We hand approve all messages from newbies, so I guess they have taken to contacting people through email

The only thing I could suggest is non newbie members not post their email, or we could make the WTB section visible only to established members
Yep, I'm Mark

That's your best bet -- established members only.

The Zoom thing of "show it to me" has not failed me yet.
