Is the actual original patent available to view anywhere? (I’m guessing that’s a “no.”)

The patent is located at the Geheimes Staatsarchiv, Preußischer Kulturbesitz, Rep. 120, Ministerium
für Handel und Gewerbe. The storage area itself is outside of Berlin but is easy to reach. I'm hoping to make a trip there later this year to do a hi-res scan and will be sure to share.

I met the fellow at the Historic Brass Society Conference today in NYC who will be playing your Moritz copy....I spoke at the Conference earlier this afternoon...

Someone gave me the opportunity to hold and play one of those one time. I wish I had something like STP oil treatment to put on the super loose valves so I could have gotten a better idea. Those things are always fun to look at in pictures in there even more fun to hold and blow into.

So podcasts we're actually patented way back in the early 1830s?
