WTB: Conn 2 mouthpiece
I am looking for a Conn 2 mouthpiece to match up with a 1971 Conn 4J BBb tuba I just purchased. Cosmetics are unimportant, as long as the shank is round and the rim is free of trauma/scratches. I’m hoping some of our resident repairmen might have a spare in a drawer somewhere.
Let me know what you’ve got? I can accept photos to the email connected to my profile or by PM.
Thanks, for reading!

Re: WTB: Conn 2 mouthpiece
There are none here...
I (just now) looked around eBay and a few other places for you...nuthin'
They've almost become a "Rocky Horror Picture Show" of tuba mouthpieces:
- when new, most looked askance
- now that they're "vintage", they seem to be semi-collectable
My suspicion is that Schilke made them, but no one can/will verify.
The "7B" version of the Conn Helleberg is pretty darn close, if you are just looking for the shape, but - if you're looking for "the thing", I totally get that.

Bumpity bump!
I’m still searching for a Conn 2 tuba mouthpiece in comfortable+ condition. Let me know if you have one or know of one for sale.
Thanks!

Re: WTB: Conn 2 mouthpiece
I used to have two of them. I think they are way in the back of my basement storage area. I think one was in good shape and the other was not. I'll try to find them this evening.

Re: WTB: Conn 2 mouthpiece
There are a couple on eBay right now, but I'd describe them as "only slightly chewed up" condition.

I just saw those. I’d be tempted, if they didn’t look like marching band playthings.

Re: WTB: Conn 2 mouthpiece
I do have a Conn 2. There are some surface scratches on the rim and the very end of the shank is not round. Both of these things could be easily fixed. If you are interest, PM me and I'll send some pics for you.
