Once upon a time (i think i posted something) i got a Cerveny tuba, and the seller had what he thought was a mouthpiece (to his defense, there was no neck, so he couldn't try it out) which as best as i can tell is a mysterious brass funnel.
Fast forward to recent times, and my personal Eb renaissance is somewhat fueled by an old scratched up mouthpiece i was in no hurry to look amid the scratches for markings, but a friend had picked out enough to say it was cerveny. I finally examined it, and yeah, it does.
I don't suppose anyone else has Cerveny mouthpieces?

That one doesn't come with a Werther's Original, so I am not sure OP would be interested.

At least worth trying out, at least at that asking price.
There is always the concern that changes in my playing just might be me playing better rather the change in equipment.
And i'll be content supplying my own Werthers... Can't expect everything, can i?

Arrived yesterday, and it has quite a satisfying sound, although not quite what the cerveny seems to have.
I played the warm exercises with it at last night's rehearsal, then because it sits further into the receiver and i need to pull the tuning slide out most of the way to be in tune, so i switched back to the cerveny.

If you could part from it for a few months, it would be neat to fork it over to James New or someone similar and have them scan it and make some reproductions. From what I remember from the times you've let me try it, it's a really interesting and unique mouthpiece that is fun to play.
(referring to the Cerveny and not the Werther's, to be clear.)
