Only for 'tuba studs': here's something that was briefly under development.

From this perspective, it looks sort of like a knockoff of a short 4/4 York/Holton style frame. ie. 32 inches x 19 inches.
I wouldn't at all be surprised to discover that I'm wrong.

Not really on topic but I always have wanted the opportunity to spend some time with a Vienna horn, the "horn sound of all horn sounds." I have the VIenna horns CD and compare it (and its cover) with the London Horn Sound CD. Different beasts.
Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra or not ?

So last night the marching band held a preview show. The marching tubas sounded like fat Kazoo's!!! So horrible that my wifes first comment was "the new tubas sound awful!" Now some of it is the students under developed embochure; But, these are the same three students that played sousaphones last season, that sounded full and rich. The same three that play the Jupiter tubas in concert band, which sound fantastic in their auditorium. So I'm very biased against the marching tubas.
