The plastic molded case features a huge chunk of plastic missing in the lid bell area.
I don't know if fiberglass/Bondo would stick to a molded plastic case. IF (??) it would and IF (??) you can do it, you might (??) have a case.
The "stuffing/padding" (old-school stuff) is still all under the hole, so there is something there that could support fiberglass cloth and Bondo (again) IF it would stick to plastic...(??)
The instrument itself is viable, I can ship it dent-free (nearly that way already), and the valves are good.
It may (??) have SOME lacquer on it SOME(??)where.
"viable"...ie. "I can ship it absolutely ready to take it somewhere and play it."
There's no mouthpiece with it, and I'd prefer to not have to sacrifice one of mine (accepts standard shank).
If someone is willing to buy this for $350 (no "trial" please...just trust that the instrument is good, the case sucks, and that the lacquer is gone) and would also pay the cheapest shipping I could manage (none of which is "particularly" cheap, these days...but I WILL pack it myself and shop between USPS and FedExGround...and yes, I DO have an account), I'll send pictures to the first person who believes they would like to have it. Yes...I WOULD pull out the pistons and take pictures of them.
This one is regular-regular...NO cutey-pie nickel bell flare...NOTHING like that...just plain-ol'.
If all-y'all think this price is too fancy for a ready-to-play/no-dents/no-finish, I'll just hold onto it...I DO get local calls for stuff like this, but I'd rather ship it OUT, rather than hauling it UPstairs.
