Re: Quincy Jones
I always thought Sam, his assistant, got short shrift in the series.

Re: Quincy Jones
Are you - possibly - mixing "Quincy", "Barnaby Jones", and "Quincy Jones" together into some hurricane-like mixed drink?

Re: Quincy Jones
That guy had such an amazing career. Spanning so many different types of music and he was able to do it over such a long time span - his stuff was always relevant. My local jazz station plays a lot of the stuff he did for big bands and it’s excellent. And Thriller sold the most albums ever. He said that the great thing about Thriller was it was all done in such a short time span - just 8 weeks - so he had no time to suffer from paralysis by analysis. No matter what genre he was doing his stuff was always top notch. His personal viewpoints could be a bit out there, but his music was always great. RIP Quincy

Poor Sam was The Lost Man, barely more than a Mirage. He would Enter Laughing In The Heat of the Night, but he and his boss went through The Split. He obeyed the sign as he left the morgue that said Walk, Don’t Run, but he nevertheless left In Cold Blood. They would never solve The Deadly Affair, when The Out-of-Towners were brutally murdered while trying to finish their Jigsaw puzzle. Sam was not out of work long. He got offers from several countries, but I heard he took The Italian Job.Three Valves wrote: ↑Mon Nov 04, 2024 8:58 am I always thought Sam, his assistant, got short shrift in the series.
