Celebrating our Silver Jubilee! The Ann Arbor TubaChristmas is celebrating it’s twenty-fifth year. This free concert brings together over 40 tuba and euphonium players in a fun and festive musical showcase.  Holiday carols are heard as never before as these instruments demonstrate their melodic and harmonious qualities.  Conducted by George Thompson, this family favorite gets better every year.  Dress warmly and come enjoy (and sing along if you wish) TubaChristmas Ann Arbor!!  The Kerrytown Farmers Market is located at 415 N. Fifth Avenue at Detroit Street.

A special treat will feature the velvety, golden tones (and voice) of Dr Brendan Ige, guest soloist on Santa Wants A Tuba for Christmas.

Tuba, Sousaphone, Euphonium, and Baritone Participants: Registration is at 9:30 AM at the Alexander Music Building on the campus of Eastern Michigan University (East Circle Drive at the corner of Jarvis St and Lowell St, Ypsilanti, MI 48197).  Rehearsal will be from 10:00 AM to 12:00 noon.  Participants need to bring a music stand or instrument lyre and clothespins.  A hat, gloves, and sunglasses are also recommended.  The participant registration fee is $10.  The quartet book, if you don’t already have one, is available for $16.  TubaChristmas stocking hats will also be available for sale. Stylish AND warm!  Between rehearsal and the concert, participants need to provide their own transportation and lunch.
