And here is what I did to the case. The case is an old wood case of the type that usually weighs a ton, but this one is actually reasonably light. I added a pull handle, a grab handle for two-handed lifting, wheels, feet that won't scratch floors, and more corner straps around the bottom to tight it up. The bits were bought from DIY Road Cases.

Assuming that bottom edge is glued together really well with Tite Bond II white glue… and the edges of the torn Tolex are well glued down well…
… you might consider dropping it off at a friendly automobile shop, masking it off for them, and asking them to spritz that area with truck bed liner (when they were already doing a truck for someone else) - particularly since that’s the bottom of the case, and has-received / will-receive the majority of the scuffing action.

I believe that case came with an 84 C version, but – having not sold that case with that instrument, I was later delighted to discover that it was also long enough for the B-flat version. With wide bells being so en vogue - now - for so long, long
/skinny cases and bags are rarities.
