The physical dimensions of the 834 are very similar to a MW2155/2000 or Thor, except that the inner branches are closer to the “York” style CC tubas. I’m not sure if that description helps or not. To be clear, the bugle is entirely a Willson “Merlin” that’s just been re-wrapped to take advantage of the “York” ergonomics. At the NAMM show in 2024 the Merlin was the hands-down best tuba I played there.

Intriguing. It certainly screams 2155-ish, size wise. I can’t wait to play one!
Those Merlin tubas also look very nice!

2155 is a good reference point, although I feel like the 834 had a better response and was easier to play. I do feel like it's a 4/4, perhaps on the larger side of that range.
