I'm getting old.
Not only have I seen those before, I've had one or two of those here.
Heck with the amount of stuff that must go through your shop/barn, I'm impressed you remember having seen them before and remember owning one or two, regardless of age.
And I'm not being sarcastic...

No, those are about eight inches long and smaller bore. (Think bass trombone.)

Staring at these Holton bits (which - surprisingly to many, perhaps) are still available new and for a not-particularly-high price) it seems to me that they would do reasonably well with a Martin 6/4 tuba...
...after the insertion section (at the back end) was un-soldered and replaced with an insertion tube that properly fits the Martin mouthpipe's bits receiver, yes?

They will work with Martins. You might even just get away with sanding the tenon a bit to fit the Martin receiver. I used some of these for a while on a Martin.
Just don’t sand too much…
yeah...and these can be sold to Martin owners - shiny-new - for $100 (roughly the price of a tank of regular gas for a pick-up truck in yankee-land) with the dealer/repair-guy ending up with a decent little mark-up.
