When I got mine it was in fine condition and hasn't needed anything but oil since. Bought from someone on the forum who knew I was looking for an Eb, and kindly responded with this one. I now play my Norwegian Star (miraphone 283) everywhere except iffy outdoor gigs now, but the 183 isn't going anywhere.
I'm a small person but found the 183 liked my 7B mouthpiece quite a bit, but that's with the standard receiver.
