You guys - particularly @Rick Denney have got me imagining a Contrabass "Fiberseum".
I'm thinking that Rick would be delighted to offer up that Martin on permanent loan, we should include the various versions (with subtle changes, over the years of each model) of King (from the *smooth-surface ones - with the brass ferrules and the threaded brass ring connecting metal-to-fiberglass, all the way up to the current heavy ones - which seem to be made of some sort of resin...??), Olds, Reynolds, Holton, Martin (including gold-tone jell-coat), Conn 36/22 sousaphones, Jupiter, Yamaha, as well as Mr. Daellenbach's instrument (I'm thinking I have a St. Pete I could trade him out), et al.
I'd be glad to have the Fiberseum open on July 4th, if patrons would bring (ref: Mission Statement) barbecue, Lay's (and no off-brand) potato chips, barbecue beans, and various alcoholic concoctions.
