Not always, but they were around. If I remember right, the French got the British on their C tenors and G basses, and the Brits quickly dropped the C tenors (resulting in their unique Bb tenor/G bass tradition).

With the 3rd and 4th tubing hiding in the back, that picture from the front looks nice and clean.

Could you tell us how things went getting it on the plane and all that jazz?

Easiest tuba in the world to add a Tuning slide rod to (if needed)
