I've had a couple questions on this acronym
A Wild Ass Guess (WAG) is an estimate that is based upon experience, similarity and 'windage' and does not have immediately verifiable data that could be used to substantiate the estimate

My system is as follows in descending order of precision:

-measurement
-Calculation
-Estimate
-SWAG (scientific wild-ass guess)
-WAG
-PIDOOMA (Pulled it directly out of my ass)

I haven't received any new frank-cilitator inquires yet,
BUT... (as a result of this thread)
two or three people have sent me messages with questions (asking for advice on "how to proceed") that I've answered.

I'm glad to offer (free) procedural advice, but not "design" advice.
