A tool company in the USA - that sells crappy Chinese tools - and that everyone knows about - sells sets of steel dies with initials on them and in two different fonts. They are plenty good, because they don't have any moving parts. (Many of us know to not buy anything from that company that sells things that have moving parts.) I just don't think I could see stamped-in initials on an instrument of mine if stolen if the instrument was pictured on Craigslist or Facebook Marketplace.
