Eastman 836 - $8900 SHIPPED TO YOU
Posted: Sat Oct 19, 2024 6:52 am
Hello Everybody!
Currently listing my Eastman 836 for sale. It's a really fabulous example of the 836's, but I want to switch to Bb full time, and can't afford to keep it.
Images Here:
I have had it for about 3 and a half years now. I picked it from a lot at Dillons Music, and it was clear and away the best player of the bunch. Won my audition for the Navy Fleet Bands which I work in now, and have been using it for gigs in the last year.
The horn is in great shape, albeit looking like it was used. Some small bits of laquer failure on the bell, as well as a few spots of bare brass from contact (tops of slides 1 & 3). I have recently had the horn serviced and it's playing great. This is also one of the revised models, after they updated the 5th rotor to be better ergonomically. Intonation is really really excellent, and it's a very fair playing horn.
I am currently asking $8900 for the horn which will get you:
-Eastman 836
-Eastman Hard Case
-Altieri Top-loader 6/4 Gig Bag
BUT WAIT....
I am currently stationed in Yokosuka, Japan. This presents you with two price options:
A) Have the horn shipped to you directly for $8900
B) If you're able to pickup the horn yourself (say for example, you live here or can get here or happen to be in japan), $7900 (or ¥1,181,150)
The cost of flying, visiting, and taking the horn home with you on the plane can be done for nearly the same price depending on your date selection and where you're flying from (with a bonus visit to a great country). Or if you happen to live local, there will be a mighty discount.
Feel free to ask any questions, and please reach out via email rather than Tubaforum PM.
Thanks y'all!
