Happy Tuesday Tuesday. The Museum today features a Martin, medium, EE flat tuba, 4 piston, c.1918.
Serial #: 16389
Bell Diameter 17 1/4″, Bore: .625″, Height 32 3/4″.
Comments:
“THE / MARTIN / BAND INST. / CO. / ELKHART IND” on bell. Floral engraving on bell around identification marks.

@tylerferris1213 is "Frankentuba"-ing up my Frank Holton and Son's medium Eb with a identical rebuilt valveset to this (re-platted and fit by Anderson before Seacrist retired but never reinstalled on an instrument). I hope to have it back soon... nudge nudge nudge

I have owned an identical tuba SN16378 for 50 years. Sill played in performance. Bell is engraved with U.S.N.
