Reynolds Contempora Question

Post by Tim Jackson »

Maybe someone here has experience with this horn.

Reynolds Contempora BBb bass.

How does this " tuning compensation double-action trigger on first valve slide" work?
Does it return the slide to a fixed position
Does it return the slide to "all the way in" after pulling for sharp notes?
Does the piston have 1 or 2 springs in it?
Is there a patent listed somewhere that would explain how it works?

Thanks, Tim

If those things are adjusted properly, they are supposed to recenter to the position set by the user. 2 springs.
