Miraphone 191 BBb 4-v Tuba $3,000 plus shipping.(SOLD)

Post by b.williams »

Up for sale is a used Miraphone 191. As you can see in the pictures, the horn is in poor cosmetic condition. However, the horn is a great player. I have played this tuba for a few years in various settings and it never failed to delight. It plays like it should despite its appearance. All of the slides move and the valves, have great compression, are fast, smooth, and quiet. Included in the sale is a blue Miraphone gig bag, and a Miraphone TU 33 mouthpiece. I didn’t do any cosmetic upgrades in order to keep the price low. I will include a new mouthpiece receiver and brace if you decide to have the current one replaced.

Here are the tuba’s vital statistics:
Serial number: 9028259
Bore: 0.835“ (21.2mm)
Bell: 18.5” (470mm)
Height: 36” (91.5cm)
Weight: 21lbs (9.5kg)
Finish: Lacquer
Valves: 4 Rotary
The tuba is located in Springfield, MA. Please use PayPal Friends and Fail to avoid fees. I would suggest shipping by Greyhound Package Express. Local pick-up is available. If you need a shipping quote or have any questions please contact me with your zip code or questions via bpw298@hotmail.com

Pretty horn, looks better than you let on.
Can you explain what caused that receiver issue?
Good luck on your sale!

A few hours in the shop would do a world of good. Worst case; lead pipe/receiver replace??
