Relisting this horn after spending some more time with it. I bought this from my previous lesson teacher, and it got me through my undergraduate. I don’t play this horn that often, and I’m planning to use the funds for a larger or rotary tuba. (Or both!) The bell has been rolled out from damage before I bought it, and yes that is a french horn mouthpiece. I can remove the third slide pull if you do not wish to keep it.

After some more thought I will consider trades, straight or plus cash (from either side), for the following tubas: Alexander 163 CC 4V/5V, Rudolf Meinl 3/4,4/4,5/4, Meinl Weston Thor, Meinl Weston 2165, Meinl Weston 6450, Eastman 836, and select others. Don’t hesitate to reach out and ask!

Comes with a Miraphone top loading gig bag, and a set of Mead springs. (Also includes original Miraphone springs) Located in Commerce, Tx at East Texas A&M University. (Formerly Texas A&M University Commerce)

Nice tuba. :tuba:

I miss old 1291... I honestly think that on paper and in photos, it's pretty unexciting. But that tuba put out more sound with less effort than almost any other tuba I've owned. Great valves, too.

Thanks for the reply Bort2.0! I totally agree, the horn plays wonderfully and feels great, but I’m looking for more color in my sound. It’s a great horn for collegiate playing. Bump for price drop.
