Why no Trumpet Christmas

Just came across a post on Reddit r/trumpet complaining about tubas having their own get together and wanting to organize a Trumpet Christmas (apparently so trumpet players can get the melody for once!).

They did try once... but nobody wanted to play 2nd or 3rd.
