TC Green Book…?

Speaking of Tuba Christmas…
Is the green book still the one used? I seem to remember a second book of tunes, like a “part 2.”
Aaaaaaand, have they updated the green book to include anything else in the last 30 years?
I’m try to decide if I want to show up at one of these and if I’ll need to buy a different book. The green book I have is from the last time I did one… in 1993!
Thanks for any info on updates.

May vary by location.
I think the old book is still the official version.

Does your book have any arrangements by Norlan Bewley and Alec Wilder?
If so, I think you're all set. The old Alec Wilder-only collection that I've seen has a yellow or cream cover (or maybe it had no cover).

From the latest batch of books, fresh from Bloomington. (Note that in addition to the Green book, there's also the yellow treble-clef book. There was also apparently another version designed for british brass band types (Eb?) but it's not currently on the site to purchase it seems. I don't know if it ever got the extra Bewley arrangements or not.

Thank you, @travisd. That’s is VERY kind of you. I’m going to compare and contrast with the one I have.

Advice for more seasoned eyes: spring for the large-format size book--worth every penny.

I would definitely like to have the biggest print available. I’ll look for one if I go.

Even for non-seasoned eyes, the large print is preferable if you're playing with a music stand.

TC HQ seems to have discontinued the small-format Treble Clef (yellow) books at this point. They are not available to order, and I think someone stated that there wasn't enough demand to print them. Not sure if Bass Clef will see the same thing happen or not. It appears that they did a re-print this year, since the cover stock is now glossy.
As an organizer I really wish they'd make these easier for participants to just buy directly. I don't mind stocking a few copies of each - I try to keep 5 of each or so, but that's still about $400 tied up. But - it means that new participants show up who may end up sight-reading, who could have had the benefit of getting it in advance. Make them available as watermarked downloads via one of the commercial sites too would be nice, for those who want it.

I took the time to split the parts up and reprint every song so they appear as 1 song per page 8-12" X 11" . This of course meant increasing the font size so I could literally read the parts from across the room if I had to.

Uh-oh--watch out for the TC copyright police! No copying allowed there. lol

That's correct! You've got to make sure that it's copied right!

Treble clef books have been discontinued?
I got one once when the bass clef ones were sold out (or rather i asked friends to get it for me as i was in a hurry.) and was severely disappointed they only had half the music, namely the baritone parts. And i bet i already said so here, so i suppose it doesn't really bear repeating...

I noticed that issue with something labeled treble clef. Their system is a bit confusing. Seems like it needs a road map. I’m sure it makes perfect sense to them.

The smaller books have apparently been discontinued.

I went through some more stuff and found that I somehow have a total of (5) different TC books. Each a different version. Having only actually attended once, these must have appeared when I picked up lots of used music and junk from friends.
I visited a TC. It was in a cramped space with a bit of “who’s on first… third base…” going on, so we just “spectated.” Maybe next year we’ll participate.

Outside performances in the great white north?

We did ours at our local mall. Inside in climate controlled comfort.

I typeset the most recent version. I believe my Finale files are dated 2008.
