And for those not familiar, "alte" is German for "old".

I never noticed that one. It looks really cool, and it also looks like it might not be worn out.

I see a lot of wrinkles and some serious dents too, but only "ein paar Beulen abbekommen" says the seller. :teeth:
The clockspring linkage will be a nonstarter...noisy...old worn rotors, no service for 50 years.
It isn't even known what tuning it is in.
Who gives that kind of money on something that may be totally useless?

I'm guilty of following it somewhat. Having missed out Marty's big franken mitsching, i am still curious how it turns out.

I second the curiosity if a forum member grabbed it, but i understand folk's desire for privacy, so i inured to disappointment.

That said, an eb or f was it likely, leaning towards f at a glance and my preconceptions of continental Europe? But who knows high/low (jack or the game) as far as pitch goes. Not long after the tried to make them to play in tune with the local church organ, as simplistically rationalize the times...

But yeah, who knows if it is scrap metal or virtuosic masterpiece? Well... other than maybe the seller. And soon the buyer.

PS: and possibly a repair person if the seller doesn't play and repair?
