The valves are really in superb condition, and any denting - that was in place when I bought it long ago - has long been addressed.
These are basically valve trombones bent into the shape of a trumpet. A bunch of people like to use these things for doubling in small jazz combos, particular since they accept regular trombone mutes - which can offer a really good variety of sound with just one instrument. Tuning characteristics are remarkably good, and these feature a move-on-the-fly #3 slide.
I couldn't accept any Oktoberfest gigs last year, due to conflicts - as October is a really busy month typically, and this year - sadly - I had to turn down three of those jobs. I use this instrument to play those jobs, but - well - I'm not playing those jobs. Why are you selling it?
ALSO...I just bought a pretty expensive case for another instrument, I had to buy it new, but it was marked down, so I decided to move on it (a rare/oddball/discontinued case). The sale of this flugabone will help offset the purchase of that case.
I'm exclusively listing the flugabone here for a while, because I always give you guys first dibs at my stuff.
I'll put up some pictures as soon as I can.
$750 is the no-haggle price. I'm not prohibiting haggling, but I'd rather not haggle right off the bat - giving someone a reasonable chance to simply buy it at this (reasonable?) price.
If someone sends me a postal money order, bank check, or a good personal check - whereby I don't lose a credit card processing fee, I'll pay the first 30 bucks of the FedEx ground shipping (but only at this no-haggle price).
