These play really well.

Atleast the 3 valve version.

Cerveny stencils. They made them in various sizes. Yes, they can play great but I'd still try before buying.

Interesting tubas. The first one is indeed a Cerveny stencil. I 2nd one appears to be a very early B & S model 101.

I bought almost the same horn from the same seller years ago. The packing and speed of shipping was incredible and he's a reputable seller. The horn was literally garbage though. Clock springs were worn out, linkages misaligned badly, 4th valve work from a tech 3 times still couldn't get it unstuck. It also smelled like smoldering Uranium from Chernobyl inside and it was unplayable for me.

Agreed. ISTR the model that became the 101 was originally made by Hess, who used to work for Alexander.
