Hello from Germany,
many manufacturers ask me for a Soundcheck of there instruments. I do it with joy, because i like to try out different instruments.
Here is my test of the Wessex Gnagey Eb Tuba.
Hope you like it.
I'm a loyal Eastman artist, but I'm always up for a try and a sound check. Respect to all instrument makers!

I've played one. I thought it was good, but that hand angle... hoo boy
Have you played their new Eb? That is the first wessex tuba that I can say I love with no reservations at all.

I have not noticed such a bad hand angle. Was ok for me. Yes, i played the Eb York style. I didn't like it. Strange paying feeling. This one is much better.LeMark wrote: Thu Apr 10, 2025 1:44 pm I've played one. I thought it was good, but that hand angle... hoo boy

The valve block is very similar on the angle to the Yamaha 621... It must be very unconfortable

FWIW, I find the valve block angle on the Yamaha 621 and the Gnagey to be fine. When the tuba is in playing position they are both very comfortable (to me). I am on the shorter side, so maybe this is something that taller-torso people experience.
