That's crazy that happened. That tuba is
somewhere 
Looks like the bell is cut, probably to help with transport. Unusual mouthpiece also.
Maybe if he gave more description of the tuba it might help in finding it

As usual, I'll guess that someone who is not the owner now has happy and very quiet possession. And they do not give a damn. Like my violin.
