Is there a direct link? Because I can't find it on this site. Maybe it's just me though... :facepalm2:

I don't see it there.

I do see Doc's new helicon, a cool old Besson helicon, a big Besson recording bell comper, and a Yammie cornet.

I found it listed under "Instruments in Process" but there were no pictures. I'm anxious to see it!

@bort2.0 It should be on the pre-owned page. It's there when I go to that page. I'll double check when I get home from work tonight though. Is anyone else having trouble finding it still?

I’m using a mobile device, as a caveat. It shows up as the first item for sale when I click that link.

I've tried three desktop browsers and can't see it, but it shows on my iPad. Nice horn.

Was that tuba originally a 4-valve front-action, or was the valveset borrowed from a Buescher sousaphone?

The 4-valve front-action 725" bore Buescher valveset that I have was borrowed from a sousaphone, so the original smallest upper bow on the tuba body is only bent to accommodate a 3-piston cluster, and - therefore - isn't a wide enough bow...I have tossed two or three other (wider) bows (in the same bore/taper range) in the case with all the parts.

Alternately, I've considered pulling down a worthless 100-year-old trombone bell (an old super-skinny one of not-of-interest heritage, with a taper and diameter-range that would correspond with that bow on the tuba), annealing it, and bending it around to the required width.

The original valveset was a front action 3 valve setup. I believe that the valveset that I used was a sousaphone valveset. It was replated before I assembled this tuba. I have a few Buescher instruments that I have reworked so I managed to come up with bows and slide crooks that worked well for this project.

That's seems like a LOT of tuba for $6,500.

Hard to tell size though. Is it more or less like the Nirschl 4/4, Besson 995, etc?

Or like a B&S GR-41?

5 months and still for sale? Crazy!
