Bell Re-engraving

Is there anyone who does re-engraving? I have an old Buescher tuba that the engraving is barely visible anymore but it is very beautiful.

Sherry Huntley at Conn/Artistic Engraving was the gold standard but she has retired. Some ideas on this trumpet forum thread:

There is also someone active on instrument repair groups on FB who does this now. I'll have to try to track him down.

Perhaps a gun engraver. Mike Gouse does fine work.

Tracing over buffed down engraving on brass instruments is known as re-engraving, and it's a thing that people do.

BAC and Roy Naguera both do engraving.
