Hello, everyone!
I am selling my Hirsbrunner HB-10 F tuba in the Hampton Roads area in Virginia for $12,000. I love this horn but I recently just switched to playing a Yamaha F instead. The fifth valve, used by the left hand, goes town about a minor-third when depressed, and uses different fingerings for notes such as low Bb (2,3,5) and other lower notes. The left hand thumb can use the slide attached to the fifth valve to adjust the slide for intonation.
G in the staff can be a little low unless first slide is pushed all the way in, some notes above the staff can be a little flat, but alternate fingerings and some minor slide usage negate most of these issues. Beautiful sound and easy tuba to play, especially when playing low C!
Email me for more information and pictures at chrishalltuba@gmail.com. Thank you!
