Were I to (??) eventually produce a one-piece brass Solo cup mouthpiece, it's going to feature a #2 profile rim.

I'm thinking a 32.9mm cup opening, but of those of you who might possibly be interested in one of these and are familiar with my stuff, I'm soliciting opinions on whether it should be 32.9 or 32.6
I will not consider any other options other than these two, so even if you would prefer something else, you needn't reply.
For any other rim preferences, notice one of the following comments.

The other feature (and I'm only going to offer it one way) I'm trying to decide upon is the throat and back-bore profile.

I'm thinking of the #0 (zero) smallest throat and smallest back-bore (biggest seller in the component steel version) but I'm also wondering about the (middle) #1 profile throat and back-bore.
NOT under consideration is #2 profile throat and back-bore.

Also I'm NOT soliciting shank size preferences. This is only going to be a standard shank mouthpiece.

TO BE CLEAR, there's only going to be ONE version of this in one-piece silver plated brass, though I might offer a threaded for rims version later (for those of you who would prefer one of the gobs of other rim profiles and inner cup size choices).

Honestly after playing on mine for since December I think I like the flexibility of the 3 piece too much to consider going back to a one piece.

Some random thoughts... Largely backed up by having people with a good ear listen to me play as well.

32.9mm with a #2 rim and #0 throat/backbore is what I use on the MW 20 . It pretty close to a Bobo symphonic with a better rim. Great centering, tight throat forces me to be more disciplined with air and staying open especially down low. This also works really well in the Conn 20J for clarity and punchiness.

#2 throat... more color and flexibility up high... Not as focused not as easy centering... have to be more mindful about intonation. I like it for the BBbs just not quite as much as the #0.

#1 Throat... didn't really work for me.. I didn't know why. It felt dead to me in both the BBb and Eb..

In the Holton Eb.. I found the #2 throat with the 32.3mm rim to be a great combination. Smaller bore of the horn likes the more open throat. Works well on Eb sousa as well.

I know that in no way shape or form helps you decide what to offer.

Just an observation that some of the most popular F tuba mouthpieces (PT-65, PT-64, Laskey 28 series) are around 32-32.5mm. If given a choice between the two in your post, my guess is that 32.6mm would be the best middle of the road choice.

Do you keep sales data (or have a general idea) to see what size rim people most commonly pair with the Solo cup?

I use 32.3mm when playing solos (heh) but typically choose 32.6mm when doing F tuba with orchestra for a little extra volume at the expense of a little high range endurance.

32.6 is and has been my choice with your Solo and #0 shank on my F tuba.

32.6 is also my choice with your Imperial on Eb.

So… 32.6
