speaking of which...

My grade school-aged granddaughter (elementary) is becoming a pretty darn good single F horn player... (She’s one of those very competitive personality types who ends up being darn good at whatever she tries to do, because - well - she’s going to show you…)
Her dad as serves as third horn in the Pittsburgh Symphony.
Today, the principal horn player in the Chicago Symphony was visiting their home. (He is actually a longtime friend of their family, and has actually visited my home a couple of times. (One time, on a night that I knew it was going to rain, he - in spite of me offering him a weather report - decided to camp out in a tent here at blokeplace, and made the serious miscalculation of pitching his tent in the spillway of our pond. 🤣)
Out in the front yard - at my daughter’s Pittsburgh home, and with snow on the ground - they made a video today of the three of them playing a famous orchestral excerpt, with my granddaughter covering the first part.
I have promised to not share it until they share it themselves on Facebook.
That’s somewhat of an unheard of experience for an elementary school kid, yes?

A unique experience that she will remember for a lifetime and something you can justifiably be very very proud of.

That’s amazing. It’s great to give kids these experiences that can cement their love for music.

I look forward to seeing the video.

I sent the link to my daughter who is in graduate school studying horn. She replied, “Wow!”
