Greetings!

Sadly, I'm looking to part with my Kanstul 5480 5/4 Grand F that I purchased directly from Kanstul after they shut their doors. I was hoping to use it as an all purpose horn, yet I'm unable to get enough out of the low end that I need. It has an amazing sound!

The tuba was purchased unfinished and was not buffed or lacquered. The rotor trigger assembly was custom built for the horn and honestly, was done better than factory by its simplicity (see pic). The main tuning slide was poached from another horn at the factory. It was lacquered and HAD a water key on it which was removed and patched (see pic).

Other than that, the horn has a few tiny dings in the bell and the corner tubing, most likely from sitting at the factory. The horn was recently ultrasonic cleaned, polished, waxed and play tested.

Here are the specs and features:

Key: F
Bore: .750″ / .782″ 4th / .812″ Rotor
Bell: 17″
Valves: Four Pistons, One Rotor
Water Keys: Traditional
Finish: None
Special Alloy Bell
Hand Lapped Monel Pistons
Bottom Sprung
Removable Valve Section
Front Action
Full Bore 5th Rotary Valve
Height – 37″

A new PROTEC case and almost new Kanstul Eb-F Mouthpiece are included.

I would also welcome a trade for a Kanstul 5490 Grand CC, but I know that's a long shot.

The horn is located in Tustin, California in Orange County. I'm willing to carton and ship at the buyers preferred method and expense.

Please contact me by PM or for a quicker response by email at tedkuehnert@gmail.com

Thanks for looking!

I've never seen a 5th valve wrap around the leadpipe like that.
That's interesting.
Good luck!
