Kalison Daryl Smith CC Tuba - Silver Plated - $3750 OBO (Rosemead, CA - East of Los Angeles)
"Perhaps one of the most under-rated tubas made, the Kalison Daryl Smith model produces a big dark sound that is reminiscent of the Alexander 163, but with all the advantages of vented piston valves. It has a bigger sound than the Miraphone 188. The excellent German made valve set is removable (as is the lead pipe) for easy cleaning and maintenance. Intonation is excellent; the first valve slide is easily moved and has slide stops to “pre-set” the push and pull ranges."
Recent chem clean and tune-up from Aeolus Music.
The instrument has slight dents and dings. Also, signs of plating loss around the places one puts their hands and also where one places their body against the instrument. The case is in great condition.
