These are great playing Eb tubas. Have you contacted Willy Kurath?

It can take a very long time to hear back from Willy. He always wrote me back, and got me all the parts I needed and wanted... but sometimes it took weeks or a month between emails.

Wow. I have not had that experience. He has always been more responsive. Sorry to hear that.

Thanks,
just curious:
Has someone found the longer slide length to offer better intonation for (a quite often-requested pitch) "low F" (as 5-2-3-4 is quite sharp with most 5-valve tubas) ?

(bump)

I forget, it may have been during the summer... which could also explain it.

Although I have heard some saying before, to the effect of the Swiss make the most elegant watches in the world, except they all run slow.

Many Europeans have a different sense of time and urgency than most Americans expect.
