It is about 8 meters long, 98 cm high and has a bell diameter of 46 cm. The bore is 20.2 mm throughout. An incredible piece of craftsmanship. It was probably built at Bohland and Fuchs in Graslitz. Side note: L' Elephant was the first non-church public tuba solo I played back in 7th grade. The gymnastics team heard me playing it (on an old 3 valve Reynolds) and one of the girls recorded me to use for her floor routine music. It's been a favorite of mine ever since.

BTW, thanks for playing that tuba in a video! I seem to recall Ian posted some 30-minute video that showed and talked about the tuba and didn't play a single note. I was like this:
