SOLD
I've decided to sell my 4 valve, Rudy 5/4 BBb tuba.
The alignment on the first and second valve slide is great, and the second valve is vented. The previous owner added a thumb ring pull on the second valve slide. The work was well done, but I moved the first valve when playing it more than the second. It does have some finish wear visible in the photos, and a couple of dents mostly on the bottom bow. It also shows sings of work/scaring on the bell. The dents are pretty shallow and the worst one is in the silver guard so my repair guy didn't want to mess with it. Otherwise, it's been cleaned and ready to go!
It has a nice sound, really a lot like my Alexander on steroids. Good pitch, and great flexibility for a large tuba. To be honest, it's one of the best BBb tubas that I've played. It was my warm up tuba every morning for the last year and I used it a few weeks ago on a couple of gigs (now that those are starting back up). I just enjoy playing my Alexanders more so it's time to move this on.
It comes with a nice SKB hard case and is in Grand Rapids, Michigan. $6000.
I'm not good at embedding photos, so here is a link to folder with some; https://photos.app.goo.gl/uECZLsFL8oqNVWxC9
