This is a really good Eb tuba. Except for a wrinkle in the bell, that is hard to see in the pictures, the tuba is in excellent playing and cosmetic condition.

How does the 782 differ from the nine-eighty series of Eb tubas?

Would I be right in the thought that the International is a modern attempt at remaking the imperial line ?

I believe the international line is Chinese made.

The International production is at the Buffet owned factory in China.
The Sovereign is made in Germany.
