I bought one of these new from Baltimore Brass over twenty years ago. Being primarily a trumpet player, I had always played CC tubas so I could easily use trumpet fingerings. I got my new Jupiter 482 BBb tuba with the aim of learning BBb bass clef fingerings but found that to be a pain. I sold the Jupiter to a Coast Guard bandsman in Alaska, a buyer that Dave Fedderly found for me. The sound of the Jupiter 482 BBb tuba had a robust and rich quality, with good intonation. The horn had very good construction and excellent piston valves.
