Over the years "has had a lot of work." Does it look like it's been torched pretty hard around the bottom bow joints? My theory - that was the beginning of an attempt to clean up the bottom bow and guard, but they couldn't get the bow off. Maybe harder than it looks, you have to unsolder two big joints and pull that stuff apart, all at the same time. So they soldered it back up some and quit while they were behind.
If it weren't for that loose bow guard, it would be a pretty good looking deal by my standards. Don't see any damage to the small tubing, though I didn't look real hard. The "patina" is exotic. I suppose the 1st valve slide return spring is non-functional but could be restored.
