Up-oriented circult slides - on top-action euphoniums - would "fit" on the instruments, wouldn't be in the way, and wouldn't collect water, yes...??
It seems i am missing the picture, and not sure i understand what is meant by "fit"? Given the length of a 3rd valve circuit, to keep it within the main loop, wouldn't you be moving the valves further from the top? Hard to call it a top action in that case.
(Of course i whole heartedly approve of the idea. Condensation plays havoc with sound)

3 and 4 is/are the exceptions, but 1 and 2 are where my instrument tends to collect water.

I see it on #2 in that still of the Conn Double bell. That would be nice as mine collects quite a bit in that tiny loop, which doesn't take much to start popping.
A fully upward #1 on a top action would be very interesting looking.
